Pediatric Neurologist, New Onset Seizure Pilot


Dr. Tharmaraidnam is a paediatric neurologist with an interest in headache, epilepsy and neurogenetics.
Dr. Tharmaradinam trained in paediatric neurology at McMaster University. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. She has done research in acquired brain injury and the use of sodium bicarbonate to alkalinize the urine in pediatric patients treated with Topiramate. She is member of various professional organizations including the American Academy of Neurology, Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation, Canadian Child Neurology, Child Neurology Society and Ontario Medical Association.
She is affiliated with McMaster University and is involved in training pediatric neurology residents as well as medical students. Dr. Tharmaradinam is also a partime physician at Waterdown Pediatrics.

She is a kind, enthusiastic, detailed oriented physician who is attentive to the concern of her patients and families. She practices evidence based medicine and aims to educate and empower her patients and families.
